Summary (Scope of the Job)
The Government Specialist will support Cotton Logistics department and will be responsible for drafting contracts and negotiating prices between the parties involved. This person may also be asked to solve disputes between contractors and government agencies, evaluate bids, cancel, or modify contracts, and maintain relationships with vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Major Responsibilities Scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including: Monitoring and inspecting costs Contractor performance Leading Government Services Business Line and reporting to appropriate leadership on business line metrics. Quality control, and reliability used to ensure that a project fulfills requirements. Answering questions from bidders, approving or rejecting special requests and supervising other employees. Developing budgets, and monitoring project performance. Assisting with contract writing, selecting bidders, monitoring contract work and checking bids for completeness.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills and in-depth knowledge in math, accounting, business, and contract law.
