We are actively seeking a seasoned Family Law Attorney to join our legal team in our Seattle office. This role provides an outstanding opportunity to make a significant impact on our clients' lives as you navigate them through complex family law issues including divorce, child custody, and more. You will play a pivotal role in shaping case strategies, representing clients in court, and facilitating amicable negotiations. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about family law and are driven to provide compassionate, structured, and decisive legal advocacy.
Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters from inception through resolution. Conduct client consultations to assess their situation and provide expert legal advice. Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and agreements tailored to client needs. Represent clients confidently in mediation sessions, hearings, and trials. Strategize negotiations with opposing counsel to amicably resolve disputes whenever feasible. Ensure clients are regularly updated and comprehensively informed about their cases. Maintain accurate case files and collaborate with paralegals and staff for effective case management. Uphold the firm’s reputation by adhering to the highest ethical standards and professional practices. Minimum Position Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in the Washington State Bar is required. At least 2 years of experience in practicing family law. Proven ability to handle a high caseload and manage cases independently. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and court personnel. Expertise in drafting and interpreting legal documents. Preferred Qualifications: Extensive experience in handling high-conflict family law cases. Demonstrated success in negotiating and resolving cases favorably. Experience with family law software and case management tools. Continued legal education in family law or related fields. Membership in local or national family law associations. Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong negotiation skills. Detailed-oriented with a capability to work under pressure. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
