Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to lead our contracts negotiations and execution center of excellence. The Senior Contracts Manager would be responsible for: Leading a dynamic and geographically dispersed team of contract administrators of varying levels (Junior, mid, to senior) that are dedicated to supporting contracts with other Prime contractors. Managing the entire portfolio of contracts with other Prime contractors of various contract types, complexities, and sizes across multiple different sectors. Coordinating with internal stakeholders to track program delivery and financial performance. Proactively tracking, monitoring, and mitigating against risks associated with working outside of negotiated value, funding, period of performance, and scope. Ensuring compliance with contract requirements such as OCI Plans, reporting, deliverables, Service Contract Act/Wage Determination, etc. Collaborating and continuously engaging with various sector stakeholders, cross-functional leaders, and other functional support groups. Providing guidance on contractual requirements and interpreting contract terms and conditions. Providing oversight/guidance on change management. Recognizing synergies and capitalizing on them. Managing the start-up and close-out process for all assigned projects within the assigned contracts portfolio. Ensuring proposals are submitted on time and assisting with reviewing and preparing cost proposals and narratives. Developing strong customer relationships, interacting frequently, and working as a team leader to resolve issues. Monitoring, tracking, analyzing, preparing, and negotiating contractual agreements such as Teaming, Non-Disclosure, Memorandum of Understanding/Memorandum of Agreement, and other binding agreements as the business opportunity may require. Supporting internal program teams, including highly complex problem-solving and providing creative solutions. Ensuring contractual artifacts are filed and maintained in accordance with policy and that contract administrators are documenting contractual actions, discussions, direction, updates, and matters. Accomplishing P&L and Functional organizations’ business objectives by promoting sound business and contract principles. Developing and adjusting work assignments to ensure the appropriate balance of work and that contract administrators are fully employed and matched appropriately with the right program and team based on skills and capabilities. Reviewing, drafting, and recommending changes to workflows, guides, job aids, policies, procedures, etc. Working within a contract lifecycle management system to run reports on various projects, workflows, and assignments. Possessing strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills necessary for working in a team environment. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field plus a minimum of 12 years of related work experience (may be substituted for equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience). Extensive familiarity with U.S. government contracting. Robust knowledge of working with other prime contractors under subcontracts of a variety of types and complexities under FAR, DFARS, and other agency supplements. Extensive experience working all phases of the contract lifecycle, including preparing proposal responses to Request for Proposal (RFP), conducting negotiations and drafting/executing contracts, performing day-to-day contract management, and performing closeouts, including assisting with final modifications and invoices and completion of contractor performance evaluations. Experience interfacing with all levels of the project team (includes representing and interfacing with all levels of internal and/or external management and corporate organization personnel). Experience generating reports and developing workstreams for a team of contract administrators. Current Top-Secret clearance. Desired Qualifications Experience in creating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets. Proficient working within a Contract Lifecycle Management tool. Self-starter and independent worker with good interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills. Deltek experience is a plus. Knowledge of contract types and terms. $112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
