Cardiologist

Job Summary: The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine enthusiastically announces the recruitment of a general cardiologist to provide clinical cardiology services, predominantly at the Baltimore VA Medical Center. This cardiologist will deliver care to our military veterans in both inpatient and outpatient settings at the Assistant Professor level on a clinical educator pathway. Expertise in echocardiography, as demonstrated by board certification in echocardiography, would be highly beneficial.

Qualifications: Requires a MD degree from a recognized accredited university (or foreign equivalent). Must be eligible for an unrestricted Maryland medical license, be board certified in internal medicine and board certified/board eligible in cardiovascular medicine. Fellowship training in cardiology and will demonstrate potential for excellence in clinical care and teaching. Expertise in echocardiography, as demonstrated by board certification in echocardiography, would be highly beneficial. United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases. Paid Time Off:

50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME). Retirement:
