Contributes to the overall award process by assisting the FIU Faculty with the award set up process including negotiating the award, assisting with budget revisions, filling out all required internal and external forms, drafting subawards consulting agreements, and other award related duties as determined by the Office of Research and Economic Development. Assists with the preparation of Non-disclosure Agreements, Confidentiality Agreements, Teaming Agreements. Works closely with the Office of Research and Economic Development (ORED) personnel and College/Departmental administrators to ensure a timely award and agreement setup. Coordinates review of awards and works with PI, administrators, and other ORED areas as required. Reviews and submits prior approval requests (change of PI) to ensure compliance with sponsor requirements and institutional requirements. Collaborates with the Office of Research and Economic Development personnel to ensure that proposal submissions are consistent with established University policies and procedures while conforming to sponsored guidelines. Coordinates submission of Just-in-time documents to Sponsors and non-competing continuation documents. Processes and coordinates award actions such as: awards, continuations, no cost extensions, budget revisions, Just-In-Time reports. Prepares and mails letters and documents as needed to communicate with sponsors for extensions and additional funding. Coordinates the preparation and processing of No Cost Extension requests and submits them to the proper granting agency. Provides correct documentation to the Systems Office in order to activate projects on PantherSoft. Reviews and processes grant awards and agreements in coordination with other University units. Drafts subawards, consulting agreements and agreements. Maintains communication between the Office of Research and Economic Development and outside parties. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of grant or contract administration experience; OR Certified Research Administrator (CRA) and two (2) years of grant or contract administration experience; OR six (6) years of grant or contract administration experience; OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
