We are seeking a Tax Senior to join our well-established, highly profitable CPA firm. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in complex tax, operations management, trust and probate accounting, M&A, valuation, insolvency, and litigation support services. The ideal candidate will be deeply involved in preparing Federal and multi-state tax returns, handling complex tax issues, and developing strategic client relationships while working closely with experienced partners in a professional and collegial environment. Salary:
DOE per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare Federal and multi-state tax returns for diverse entities and high-net-worth individuals. Handle complex accounting and tax issues, providing reliable solutions. Perform both basic and complex tax research to underpin strong client advisories. Develop and maintain effective client relationships, ensuring high levels of trust and business retention. Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting to add value to client services. Collaborate directly with partners and senior staff on various challenging engagements. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards. Minimum Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Business Administration. At least 2 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm. CPA license or progress towards obtaining one. Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Strong communication and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects. Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently. Proven ability to comprehend complex tax and accounting issues. Demonstrates advanced competency in technical skills and work quality. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tax operations related to bankruptcy, trust, and estate contexts. Previous roles that require deep involvement in M&A, valuation, and litigation support. Advanced certification or specialized training in tax accounting is highly regarded. Leadership experience or previous role in a supervisory capacity within a tax team. Familiarity with current tax software and technologies. Skills: Proven research and planning skills in the tax accounting field. Strong interpersonal skills to nurture client relationships and work effectively in a team. Excellent problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage complex tax issues. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and tax preparation software. Self-directed, entrepreneurial work ethic with the ability to work independently.
