We are seeking a Senior Maritime Network Engineer Team Lead to support the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Maritime Administration (MARAD). Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for

Senior Maritime Network Engineer Team Lead : $145,000 to $155,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Senior Maritime Network Engineer Team Lead Responsibilities Include:

Lead network engineering efforts for MARAD's National Security Multi-Mission Vessel (NSMV) Program. Provide expertise in maritime network architecture, security, hardware, software, and emergency response. Support MARAD's ship operations, ensuring vessels meet operational and security requirements for government missions. Develop and maintain network acceptance and testing for NSMVs in collaboration with stakeholders. Assist in Authority to Operate (ATO) processes, collaborating with cybersecurity SMEs and ISSMs. Conduct assessments, audits, exercises, and training for ship managers and operators. Provide on-site support during emergencies and planned events, including travel to state maritime academies and shipyards. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Senior Maritime Network Engineer Team Lead Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Education/Experience: BS in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years of network engineering experience, including 6 years hands-on and 4 years supervisory. Certifications: Cisco CCNA (desired); CCNP or CCIE preferred. Experience with U.S. Coast Guard and International Maritime Organization policies. Strong project management, quality assurance, and team leadership skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools. Navy or Coast Guard background preferred. Travel may be required, up to 7 days per trip. Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
