Senior Tax Manager

Salary:
$80,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team to deliver extensive tax services including audits, accounting, and specialized tax projects. Develop and implement strategies for effective tax management and compliance for diverse clients. Engage directly with clients to build and maintain strong relationships, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions. Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure adherence and proactive response to any impacts on client operations. Participate in professional development programs to continuously enhance the technical expertise of yourself and your team. Make broad decisions related to tax case management and undertake thorough research to support these decisions. Converse knowledgeably about firm policies and financial matters, contributing to internal policy development. Minimum Position Qualifications: Solid foundational knowledge in accounting and finance with a specialized focus on tax-related services. Proven experience in leading a tax team in a managerial capacity. Ability to cultivate strong client relationships and manage complex tax engagements. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required. Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply them in managing complex projects. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Taxation or an MBA with a focus in finance or accounting. Extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and business valuations. Expertise in a particular tax specialty (international, local, state, etc.). Experience in a top-tier accounting firm is highly regarded. Strong leadership capabilities with a talent for nurturing professional growth in others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Skills: Demonstrated expertise in various accounting software and platforms. Effective communication skills, both in person and in writing. Advanced problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset to forecast industry trends and firm needs. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a significant degree of autonomy.
