Job Summary
Leads and oversees Information Technology (IT) projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, on time, and within budget. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, manages stakeholders, and ensures the successful execution of projects in alignment with business goals and objectives. Manages multiple technology projects and understands application development, enterprise application upgrades and installations, network infrastructure installations, system hardware upgrades, etc. Works within the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and is assigned by the PMO to lead team(s) to achieve project objectives and meet stakeholders' expectations. Manages multiple project teams, with matrixed resources, simultaneously. Participates in the creation and execution of Request for Proposals (RFP) and other procurement types, working in conjunction with the Procurement department. Takes direction from PMO leadership and may be mentored by or take direction from a Sr. IT PM. Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical certification from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's of Science degree in Information Systems. Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) knowledge. Business Analysis. Scrum Master certification preferred. EXPERIENCE:
Two to four years of experience managing successful technology delivery projects (small to medium size) using a formal project management life cycle and software development methodology. Leading project teams with at least 2 project team members. Dealing with clients and project stakeholders. Leading cross-functional teams.
Background in IT project management and IT in general, a proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects desirable.
Must have a valid Utah driver license with no more than 4 moving violations in the past 3 years. Cannot have more than 2 violations of driving under the influence of alcohol, any drug, or the combined influence of any alcohol or any drug within the last 10 years.
Knowledge:
Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Microsoft Project. Microsoft Visio or Lucid Chart. OnePlan experience a plus. Good understanding of PMBOK principles and practices Familiar with Agile and Waterfall management methodologies and understand the Software Development Life Cycle. Skills:
