Manager of Enterprise Data / Business Intelligence
located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is a
leadership
role that will help set and drive strategic decisions related to Data. This person needs to have knowledge of data engineering and business intelligence tools, but they are not expected to be a technical expert. The ideal candidate will need to be dynamic and very comfortable translating technical concepts to executive level employees. Demonstrable experience with development and leading data strategies including but not limited to data governance, security, quality, and appropriate tooling. The position will have 45 direct reports and manage a department of ~20 data and business intelligence engineers. Collaboration will be a key component of this individual's success and will be required to accomplish the job. Location:
Tulsa (in-office 5 days a week); relocation assistance available for the role Qualifications: Looking for 10+ year candidate who has worked heavily with data analytics and BI strategy as a leader for mid-size companies. Prefer 10 years of experience with data modeling, metadata, data dictionary, and other related tools/technologies. Prefer experience with Customer Master Data Management (MGM) software tools Bachelor degree required preferably in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Data Science, or Data Analytics Experience leading at least 3+ direct reports with roughly 10+ back-end and front-end developers indirectly A background from a Microsoft shop with preferably Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Microsoft 365, etc. Proven experience in data strategy, governance, and business intelligence. Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing teams. Excellent communication abilities to interface effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in data analytics tools, data management platforms, and regulatory compliance standards. Ability to drive data-driven innovation and deliver measurable business outcomes. Responsibilities: Data Strategy Development: Develop and implement a data strategy aligned with organizational goals. Identify opportunities to leverage data for improved decision-making, innovation, and competitive advantage. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison between data teams and executive leadership, promoting data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with external partners and vendors to stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Data Governance and Management: Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality, integrity, and security. Oversee data management practices, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and CCPA. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with business units including marketing, finance, operations, and IT to identify and meet their data needs. Bridge communication between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to align on data initiatives. Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing data team, fostering a culture of innovation and learning. Mentor team members to support professional growth in data analytics and management. Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Assess and select tools and technologies to support the data strategy, aligning them with business needs. Oversee the implementation of data analytics platforms, data warehouses, and BI tools. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track the success of data initiatives and provide updates to senior leadership. Prepare and present insights, trends, and actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
