Peraton is seeking a
Senior Java Developer
to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support our team of developers building the next generation of customer engagement systems for federal service agencies.
Required to be local to the DC Metro Region.
This is a hybrid role and requires to be onsite in the Columbia, MD office 4 times per month.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of multiple applications for a large-scale Federal IT Program using Java/Spring based REST APIs along with a Web 2.0 framework and a continuous integration environment.
Develop Java/Spring solutions, as well as lead team(s) of software developers in implementing solutions and conducting detailed design reviews.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with an Associates' degree, or minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with BS/BA
8+ years of hands-on development experience, including at least 6+ years of Java/Spring development experience
Significant experience with developing applications using the Java Spring framework
Experience using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
3 years of work experience with Web development technologies (JavaScript, HTML, JSP, etc.)
3 years’ experience in developing using Agile Scrum methodologies
U.S. Citizenship required; must have a Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
6+ years of Java development experience to build enterprise applications
3+ years developing enterprise solutions using the Java Spring framework
Detailed understanding of database schema design/SQL
Thorough understanding and experience in developing using agile scrum methodologies
6+ years of experience with using Java development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JUnit, Git)
Experience leading a team of developers for a large-scale Federal IT program
Target Salary Range $86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
