Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior living communities.
Ensure financial statements align with GAAP and regulatory standards.
Analyze financial data (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) and present actionable insights to senior management.
Monitor and track facility financial metrics, such as occupancy rates, resident billing, and expenses.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads and leadership to develop and monitor financial plans.
Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify performance trends.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Develop and maintain internal controls to protect assets and ensure financial integrity.
Oversee SOX compliance frameworks and internal control processes; execute annual compliance testing and documentation.
Conduct periodic reviews and audits to identify process improvements and ensure compliance with policies and legal standards.
Collaborate with IT, finance, and operational teams to integrate controls into business processes.
Audit & Risk Management
Liaise with external auditors and prepare documentation to support annual audits.
Identify financial reporting risks and develop remediation plans.
Prepare compliance reports for senior management and the audit committee.
Team Leadership & Development
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance reviews.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
5-7 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role within senior living, healthcare, or a related industry.
Extensive knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles, and senior living financial practices.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Aline, Eldermark, Point-Click-Care, Acumatica) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
