The _Senior Accountant_ for Vertex will manage day-to-day accounting operations for multiple restaurant locations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role will provide leadership within the finance department, handling general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, month-end close, and analysis. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic, growing multi-unit restaurant environment. _*Bilingual English and Mandarin required.*_

*Key Responsibilities:*
* Oversee daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general ledger maintenance. * Ensure accuracy in all financial transactions, including reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor accounts. * Work with the Controller to lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely reporting of financial statements. * Prepare journal entries, financial statements, and variance analysis to assist in strategic decision-making. * Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and inventory accounting. * Work with the Controller to develop and implement policies and procedures that improve efficiency and financial controls. * Prepare reports for management, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts. * Collaborate with operations and management teams to gather relevant financial data for decision-making. * Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies. * Support budgeting and forecasting processes for multiple restaurant locations. * Provide financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, and cost-saving opportunities across locations. * Manage and mentor junior accounting staff as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned.
*Essential Functions*
* Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or multi-unit industry. * Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls. * Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms. * Advanced Excel skills and experience in financial reporting and analysis. * Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Experience with multi-location accounting and consolidations. * Familiarity with restaurant POS systems, inventory, and cost of goods management. * Strong understanding of payroll compliance and tax regulations. * Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
*Education Requirements*
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. * CPA highly preferred.
