This critical role serves the North America Express Lane (NAEL) Development Team and helps drive our product excellence vision, strategy, and execution, as well as serving as our key leader for the NAEL product development team. This person also needs to have a track record of working successfully with multiple teams, across cultures, languages, and distances with outstanding results. Additionally, they should have the demonstrated ability to work across functional teams with clarity, an enterprise approach, and an eye for growth and serving the athlete (or consumer) at an industry-leading level. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON In this role you will serve as part of the North America leadership team managing the Footwear Development and Material Development teams responsible for leading refresh product across multiple Consumers x Fields of Play. You will drive the product creation process from initial concept through to commercialization and production and ensure the product development teams deliver on time products according to critical dates, product specifications, sustainability, and profitability goals. You’ll apply workload management tools and metrics to help make data-informed decisions. You will translate organizational strategy into goals for the Footwear and Material Development teams that will deliver exceptional product for the North America consumer. WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH In this role, you’ll report to the Senior Director of North America Express Lane Product, based at Nike’s World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross functional Product Creation leaders and work side-by-side with the North America Express Lane leadership team to ensure that all our different disciplines are working seamlessly to drive product excellence. WHAT YOU BRING Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education, experience, and training At least 10 years of experience in the footwear industry Management experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership experience is essential. Proven experience creating and activating long term strategies by collaborating and working through others to achieve business results Team player attitude; solid, positive energy; confident Proven examples of results-orientation, problem solving, and cross functional collaboration Experienced, high-profile communication skills, and the ability to influence throughout all levels of the Nike enterprise. Passion for sports or footwear industry and desire to deliver a premium consumer experience through products. Experience in the footwear, product testing, development, marketing, engineering, retail, customer service industry is preferred.
