The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements. Description
Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices for payment, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with firm policies. Match invoices with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Expense Management: Audit and process employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to the firm's reimbursement policies. Respond to inquiries regarding expense submissions and payments.
Vendor Relations: Manage vendor communications, including addressing payment inquiries and resolving discrepancies. Maintain updated vendor information in the accounting system.
Payment Processing: Prepare and process electronic payments (ACH, wire transfers) and check runs on a scheduled basis. Ensure timely payment to vendors and adherence to payment terms.
Profile
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, preferably within a professional services or law firm environment.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with legal-specific financial systems is a plus. Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis.
