Job Description:
The Degree Audit and Student Data Coordinator primary responsibility is to build and update degree audit requirements, eligibility rules, and academic plan templates in the Workday Student software Mount Holyoke College is currently implementing. This will involve translating each academic requirement of a major, minor, or other academic objective into the system, so that the software can evaluate a student's record, calculate which degree requirements have been completed, and record how each requirement has been met.
An ideal candidate for this position will collaborate with others to determine the fine points of degree requirements, define them within the system, test for accuracy, and then ensure sign-off from academic departments. The Student Data Coordinator/Degree Audit Specialist should set standards, develop best practices, and document work to ensure its continued maintenance and success beyond the initial implementation project.
Essential Responsibilities:
Build, update, and maintain degree audit requirements, eligibility rules, and academic plan templates in Workday Student, translating academic requirements into the system for accurate student progress evaluation and exception processing. Collaborate with academic departments to define, test, and ensure the accuracy of degree requirements and academic plans in Workday, ensuring alignment with College publications such as the catalog. Set standards, develop best practices, and document processes to ensure the continued maintenance and success of degree audit requirements in Workday. Assist the Registrar with setup and configuration of academic foundation and records parameters in Workday, and support testing and data preparation for data conversion projects. Contribute to the development of training materials, documentation, and the creation, testing, and updating of communication plans, business processes, and reports in Workday. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to academic progress, requirement completion, and academic plans while upholding the integrity of degree programs and academic policies. Provide backup support for routine office tasks such as curriculum data maintenance, degree audit exception processing, commencement preparation, and final exam administration. ***
Please note, the funding for this position is currently fixed-term, with a December 31, 2027 end date.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Minimum of three years of experience in higher education. Knowledge of and experience with student information systems and query/reporting tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work methodically and independently, while multitasking. Excellent communication skills. Ability to maintain discretion and tact in working with and communicating about highly confidential data. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with software implementation, software configuration and testing, and report-writing. Experience in configuring requirements for degree-requirement monitoring and/or work experience within a Registrar's Office. What We Offer:
