The application window is expected to close on: 12/16/2024.Job posting may be removed earlier if the position is filled or if a sufficient number of applications are received.Meet the TeamThe Regulatory Affairs team within Cisco’s Legal department is comprised of lawyers, operational specialists, program managers, engineers, and subject matter experts focused on topics including privacy, global trade, cybersecurity, telecom, environmental sustainability, and various regulatory practice areas. The team’s charter is aligned with influencing, interpreting, and implementing evolving and existing regulations that impact Cisco’s business and interacting with external stakeholders on these important topics. We partner with colleagues in Legal and functional teams across the company to drive impact. This team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Counsel to advise on global telecommunications regulations, lawful intercept laws and other market access regulatory issues. You also will lead a team of legal professionals providing guidance and support on market access matters (including digital accessibility and product licensing). Your ImpactManaging a team of lawyers and regulatory specialists focused on regulatory topics such as global telecommunications, digital accessibility, and regulated industries.Providing strategic legal advice and support on matters related to telecommunications and lawful intercept laws, including regulatory compliance and product licensing.Developing policies, guidelines, and procedures to promote compliance with lawful intercept requirements.Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and sales, to implement legal strategies that enable business objectives.Partnering with Cisco’s Government Affairs team to help shape evolving regulations. Recommending pragmatic solutions to potential compliance issues.Minimum Qualifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and licensed in good standing.10+ years of relevant in-house legal and/or law firm experience with a focus on telecommunications regulations and familiarity with lawful intercept laws. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
