This full-time position will utilize2D drawings and 3D models to develop CNC programs through collaboration with a multifunctional team. Ensures program success through supporting operations through set-up and program launch. Collaborates with machinists to optimize quality, cycle time, and overall tooling cost throughout production life of product. Must be able to identify and communicate design elements that hinder the manufacturing process to upper management. Key objectives for this role: Facilitate effective communication in a cross functional team setting. Develop programs, tooling, and fixturing to ensure first-pass success of products. Provide a continuous drive for improvement across core capabilities. Oversee capital projects required for business growth in current and emerging markets. Apply Lean Manufacturing Principles to reduce waste. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple projects concurrently. Ability to apply analytical skills and scientific technical principles in problem solving. Responsibilities include: • Utilization of CAM software (MasterCam / Esprit) for generation of CNC programs. • Provide support to machinist on the manufacturing floor after program has been posted. • Understand post processor editing and customization. • Work to optimize current and future CNC programs, including increasing feeds/speeds, reducing machining quality risks, and communicating necessary standard work information to machinists • Utilization of verification software (Vericut) to validate programs for any errors or potential crashes. • Work with tooling suppliers to stay on the cutting edge of process and efficiency. Develop tool test programs and implementation plans for new tooling • Be the primary problem solver in the facility • Tool selection and optimization • Willingness to work overtime as required by customers Skill Required: • Highly proficient with CAM software - (MasterCam and / or Esprit), verification software (Vericut), and post processor editing. • Live tooling programming a plus. • Strong Communication Skills both written and verbal. • Demonstrates high attention to detail. • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Strong ability to read and interpret technical documentation: Specifications, Procedures, Drawings, GD&T, and Manuals. Ability to apply principles of machining, metrology, quality control, mathematics, and engineering economics. Proficiency with solid modeling software: Creo, Inventor, Solidworks (Preferred), etc Experience using ERP systems: Visual MFG, Global Shop, JD Edwards (Preferred), etc Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of manufacturing principles/processes: Lean Manufacturing, PPAP, APQP, PFEMA, SPC Experience Required: • Mastercam: 10 years (Preferred) • CNC Lathe/Mill programming: 10 years (Preferred) LI-AB1
