We have a client located in SE Houston looking to hire a Maintenance Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for the efficient operation of our company's plant facilities. Your primary duties will encompass routine maintenance and repairs aimed at preserving our equipment and machinery in their best possible state. Responsibilities: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and address them proactively. Perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to resolve breakdowns and malfunctions promptly. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime. Collaborate with the production team to plan maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment history records. Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage. Required Skills: Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex equipment issues. Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and practices. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5+ years in a maintenance role. Certification in maintenance-related areas such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional) is preferred. Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and computer-aided design (CAD) software. Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and standards related to plant maintenance, such as ISO 9001. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices. Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
