They represent essential elements and criteria necessary to successfully perform the job. It is generally agreed that other duties may be assigned from time to time. Summary The Corporate Accountant is tasked with assisting the Senior Corporate Accountant and Corporate Accounting Manager with all aspects of the Companys Accounting, Finance, Treasury and Risk Management functions. Responsibilities Consolidate, prepare and issue monthly financial statements, including an income statement, balance sheet and cash flow. Perform financial statement processing
journal entries, adjustments, balancing, reconciliations including inter-company segments, month-end closing accruals, and consolidations for a company with multiple general ledgers. Monitor monthly operating results and help prepare budget-to-actual commentary and variance analysis. Prepare all bank reconciliations timely and accurately. Assist the CFO and Corporate Accounting Manager with quarterly Board presentations and the preparation of underlying supporting schedules. Assist the Sr. Corporate Accountant in creating the annual corporate budget and quarterly reforecasts. Track fixed assets and prepare entries for the related depreciation and amortization. Prepare audit schedules for the consolidated Company audit. Assist the Corporate Accounting Controller in driving process improvement related to accounting, financial reporting and internal controls. Review and manage state and local B&O taxes. Prepare Ad Hoc reports as requested. Assist in establishing entity structure within Yardi including joint venture partnerships. Review and approve invoices for correct vendor information, remittance address, amounts, and GL coding. Prepare annual King County Personal Property Tax Listing. Maintain quarterly entity filings and help maintain Company organization structure. Company Expectations Employee must meet and adhere to The Companys attendance guidelines. Abilities Excellent organizational and communication skills. Effective business writing skills. Minimum Qualifications 3 years accounting experience. Commercial real estate experience preferred, but not required. General ledger experience with an ability to understand and prepare basic financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Proficient in MS Word and Excel. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Demonstrates professionalism in every aspect of work performance including positive, enthusiastic attitude.
