This is a full-time remote role based in Napa/Sonoma as a Social Media Manager & Content Creator. Must be able to travel to Napa Valley and capture content 1-2x per week.
As a Social Media Manager & Content Creator at GTDR, you will be responsible for managing and creating compelling content across various social media platforms for predominately Northern California wine clients. You will develop and execute social media strategies, analyze performance metrics, and optimize campaigns to drive brand awareness and engagement. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional team members and with clients, staying updated on industry trends, and applying your unique creative vision to the current brand strategies. Professionalism and client communication is required for on-site content capture.
DUTIES Subject matter expert on social media trends and content creation within the wine industry Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging content that resonates across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest Research and compile social trends, ideas, competitor examples, and executions to inform and propose new content Stay up to date with wine news, wine knowledge and always open to learning Approach social media with a get-it-done attitude, high-energy brainstorming, and an ever-evolving understanding of each platform Be a driver of creative ideas, drive profile success for your clients, and be able to code-switch between different industries Create, write, and schedule weekly social media content across channels Long-form, SEO optimized blog writing for winery clients Capture content as needed Community management as needed Instagram Story strategy, execution and ideation weekly
QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years as a Social Media Manager or in a Digital Marketing role focused on creativity, thinking outside the box and success metrics to support Wine industry digital marketing experience required Excellent knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices (and you use social media in your free time) Experience in developing and executing social media strategies with a clear passion for digital marketing and creativity Proficiency in content creation, including writing, designing, and editing Ability to stay updated on the latest industry trends and emerging social media platforms A hybrid creative writer, innovative thinker, and smart marketer with a warm, witty, and natural approach to copywriting Demonstrated ability to create compelling ideas/content Demonstrate understanding of writing nuances between channels: social, print, and digital advertising Strong visual mindset and understanding of the wider landscape of content marketing Proficient in communicating a different brand voice for each brand and switching between brands efficiently Ability to work independently as we’re a fully remote company, but have the willingness and interest to collaborate as a team for brainstorming and ideation Excellent communication skills between internal team members and clients, leading with transparency and honesty Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field preferred but not required
