Lead the Worldwide Financial Planning and Analysis team and manage all budgeting and forecasting related aspects of the country. To provide management of all levels with relevant financial analysis. Preparation and distribution of the monthly financial reporting package to Management including variance commentary and trend analysis.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages the Financial Planning and Analysis team and collaborates with regional and local FP&A resources.
Budgeting, Planning, and Monitoring:
Coordinate with regional offices to forecast monthly financial results and annual plan.
Align with Executive Management on the annual strategic plan.
Document annual plan requirements and coordinate with Sales, Human Resources, IT, Operations, and local and regional Accounting Departments to ensure accurate completion of the plan.
Provide reporting requirements within budgeting software and manage UAT and approval of reporting.
Communicate required system changes for budgeting software.
Active Analysis and Controlling:
Prepare financial reporting package inclusive of productivity and profitability commentary, trend and variance analysis, and reconciliation schedules.
Analyze trends, key metrics, market trends, and provide commentary on the correlations to financial performance.
Coordinate with Operations to ensure accurate segment reporting and provide insightful commentary.
Complete monthly DSO and aging reporting requirements and identify drivers of these metrics.
Monitor key performance indicators, highlight trends and analyze variances to support management’s disclosures in annual audit report.
Development and Support:
Manage quality assurance process and user acceptance testing for ERP meta data structure and reporting changes.
Identify Tools and Develop Reports and Automation and review of processes.
Support, educate, and resolve financial matters providing knowledge guides for Department reporting processes.
Manage Workday and Power BI roadmap for reporting updates and necessary system development.
Serve as control owner for various financial reporting controls and maintain integrity over the processes.
Manage completion of the UAT of system changes.
Document, communicate, and train system changes in advance of the annual plan.
Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures for the financial reporting process.
Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
Freight Forwarding experience required.
CPA Preferred.
10+ years of experience of income statement responsibility in a multinational company.
5+ years managerial experience supporting a global team across multiple time zones.
Project Management experience, PMP Certification preferred.
Merger and Acquisition experience.
Workday Financials and Adaptive Insights highly preferred.
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to finding solutions.
ENVIRONMENT:
100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Travel could be (up to 0%) required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
