Duties and Responsibilities The
Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy
at Loyola University Medical Center is recruiting a board-certified Vascular Surgeon at the Associate Professor or Professor level with significant experience and interest in the management of
complex aortic disease . This position serves as
Co-Director of Loyola’s Center for Aortic Disease
and involves collaboration with a well-established group of academic vascular surgeons and the cardiothoracic surgery group.
The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience, have a track record of excellence in complex aortic disease management, and take a collaborative approach to patient care. The position includes a dual appointment at Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) and the Edward Hines Jr. Veterans Administration Hospital with call coverage of nearby affiliated community medical centers.
Loyola University Medical Center (LUMC) is a 547-bed quaternary hospital in Maywood, Illinois, which includes various specialized centers and is part of a three-hospital system. The candidate will join a group of 7 vascular surgeons and participate in research efforts and education of medical students, Surgery residents, and Vascular Surgery trainees.
Requirements
M.D. or D.O. degree
ABS Board Certified in Vascular Surgery
5 years of experience necessary
Eligible for Illinois state licensure
