Position Summary:

Seeking Tax Director to focus on our High-Net-Worth clients. The HNW Tax Director will work closely with partners, as well as staff and clients and will be responsible for planning, supervising, reviewing, and completing client engagements.

Responsibilities:

This person will fully handle client relationships and serve as the point of contact for High-Net-Worth clients.

Provide tax compliance and advisory services to High-Net-Worth Individuals, multi-state fillings, and complex tax matters.

Oversees planning and scheduling of engagements.

Research complex tax issues.

Ensures quality of work product.

Coaches/mentors individual team members.

Provides formal and informal feedback.

Communicates progress to partners.

Develops and maintains strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients.

Works closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in accounting; Master's in Tax a plus.

CPA certificate strongly preferred.

High level of expertise in High-Net Worth, Trust and Gift tax (both the compliance and planning aspect).

Minimum 10 years of tax experience required with a strong technical background in high-net-worth individual taxation.

Experience with large families and their family offices.

Must have the ability to lead a team through compliance, proactive planning, and strategic consulting.

Real estate experience would be a plus.

Strong organizational and management skills.

Excellent written, oral communication and documentation skills.

Ability to articulate complex tax matters in "business" language.

Ability to integrate in a team with others.

Ability to work effectively in a demanding, fast-paced and complex environment.

Strong team player with emphasis on the continued growth and development of team members.

Excellent analytical skills and judgement.
