Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Architect with Azure Cloud expertise to join our team and support our government clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and provisioning IT enterprise platforms that aggregate network, infrastructure, cloud and applications, integrating tools, services, workflows, and data used across the enterprise. The role will also involve working with DevOps teams and participating in the development of automation tools and processes for continuous integration and deployment.
As a Senior Cloud Architect, you will:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex cloud and cloud infrastructure solutions that meet Government requirements.
Develop and implement cloud architecture standards and best practices.
Work closely with development teams to ensure the infrastructure supports the software development process, including continuous integration and deployment.
Ensure that cloud infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure.
Implement and maintain monitoring and logging solutions to detect and diagnose issues in the cloud infrastructure and software applications.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other architects and engineers.
Evaluate new cloud technologies and common services and make recommendations for their use.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based solutions.
Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain relationships with CSPs and vendors to stay ahead of innovations and new product offerings.
Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture solutions.
Lead Platform operations and maintenance for enterprise directory services, on-prem cloud hosting services, performance and capacity planning.
Required Qualifications:
US Citizenship required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
A minimum of five (5) years of experience with architecting and developing platform-based solutions, establishing throughput and setting baselines for acceptable performances standards.
Working knowledge of DevOps concepts
Experience in evaluation and analysis of workloads that are running in public and private cloud environments.
Expertise working with virtualization, storage and enterprise backup solutions using automation technologies.
Expertise working with Active Directory technologies.
Expertise working with application streaming and desktop virtualization technologies.
Excellent communications skills.
Demonstrated leadership across multiple teams and direct management of team staff.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Proficient in the use of tools and methods to efficiently lead product releases, sprints, and development cycles.
Certification: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert has been obtained within the last five years.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Dept of Homeland Security public trust or DoD/Top Secret clearance.
AWS, GCP, and Oracle Cloud work experience.

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $175,000- 185,000.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full-time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
