Salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Estimated annual base pay: $92,400.00(minimum) - $115,500(midpoint) - $138,600.00(maximum)

If you're a Senior Data Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Data Engineer job plays a critical role in managing data workflows and ensuring that data is accessible, reliable, and ready for analysis. This senior level position supports and is responsible for design, construction, and maintenance of systems and architecture for collecting, storing, and analyzing large sets of data. The purpose of this role is to support modeling, machine learning and AI activities while collaborating with various stakeholders and informing. What You Will Be Doing Business & Data Understanding: Supports, informs and leads the use-case development process using knowledge of Woodward data sources, data systems, and processes. Responsible for devising and proposing features that may serve the use-case, including the methods by which the features can be generated from the data. Responsible for maintaining the quality and completeness of use-case screening and justification documentation. Model Development (Data Preparation): Supports and designs the processing of enterprise and production data into a format required for data science and data analyst applications. Responsible for the generalization and abstraction of feature inputs to Data Science algorithms. Responsible for creating and maintaining data pipelines to support the data science process. Model Development: Observes and oversees model development efforts with Data Scientists and Senior (4-5) Data Engineers Model Operations: Supports, reviews and oversees data science applications in collaboration with the data scientists. Support the MLOps process life-cycle. Machine Learning Quality Assurance: Supports and responsible for the identification of requirements and constraints at each stage of the data science lifecycle. Data Curation and Maintenance: Performs ETL tasks to appropriate systems, fulfilling requirements from Data Scientists and Analysts. Develops and maintains accessible datasets. Data Quality Assurance and Delivery: Ensures the on time delivery of context appropriate data for data scientists and analysts. Maintains repository of code and documentation. Acts as a lead and guide for lower level Data Engineers What We Are Looking For US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, Engineering (i.e. Electrical: Signal Processing) and other STEM fields. Other degrees with a statistical modeling focus (i.e. Economics) required 5+ years Strong knowledge of: Data-Ops, DB & SQL, ERP & Enterprise Systems, Services, ETL Tools and Methods, Cloud Technologies, Programming, DevOps / MLOps required Exceptional knowledge of Data-Ops/ETL Tools and Methods Exceptional understanding of common data technologies DB & SQL Exceptional knowledge of ERP & Enterprise Systems Services Exceptional knowledge of development technologies (Cloud Technologies, Senior programming skills (Python, Matlab, R) Strong understanding of project management skills, testing/deployment of models ticketing/debugging, version control, modeling of deployed models Strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills Strong prioritization, organization and time management skills Strong problem solving skills; teamwork approach to developing solutions Woodward is an independent designer, manufacturer, and service provider of control solutions for the aerospace and energy markets.
