Description The Director of Cardiovascular Services will assume responsibility for the efficient and safe operation of the Cardiac Catheterization Labs, Electrophysiology Labs, Cardiology post-interventional units and the associated admission recovery area in an acute care facility. The director will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other members of the Medical Staff who utilize the services of the department. Responsible for the financial management of cardiac services including budgeting, payroll, and equipment purchases. Responsible for future planning in regard to advances in cardiac procedures and business development. Attends and/or conducts regular meetings with the cardiologists and attends various hospital committee meetings. Responsible for the growth, development and expansion of the eICU program. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia. A master's degree in Nursing or related field. Seven years of Registered Nursing experience of which two years must be in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Positions in this classification may require nursing experience in one or more specialty areas. Certification in relevant specialty strongly encouraged.
