The ideal candidate will be responsible for multiple areas of franchise and distribution law, including developing and structuring franchise and distributor programs, handling franchise contract and relationship issues, drafting franchise disclosure documents and agreements, performing state registrations, negotiating supply contracts, assisting in dispute resolution, and supporting international development and cross-border transactions. This role requires high academic achievement, law firm experience, and excellent writing, drafting, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop and structure franchise and distributor programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Assess and provide counsel on various franchise contract and relationship issues. Draft and review franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements. Perform state franchise registrations and manage ongoing compliance. Negotiate supply contracts and other related transactions. Assist in resolving franchise disputes through negotiation, mediation, or litigation. Support international franchise development and cross-border transactions. Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff on complex franchise and distribution matters. Conduct legal research and analysis to support client needs. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of franchise and distribution laws and industry trends. Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents as required. Qualifications: Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Licensure:
Admission to the California State Bar in good standing. Experience:
Experience in franchise and distribution law, preferably within a law firm environment. Skills:
