Draft and review franchise disclosure documents and franchise agreements. Perform state registrations and ensure compliance with local regulations. Negotiate and draft supply contracts and other related transactions. Assist in resolving franchise disputes and managing related legal matters. Support international development and cross-border transactions. Collaborate with clients and other legal professionals to deliver comprehensive legal solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of franchise and distribution laws and regulations. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Bar in Illinois. 2-5 years of experience in franchise and distribution law, preferably in a law firm setting. Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating franchise agreements and supply contracts. Proven ability to handle complex international and cross-border transactions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of academic achievement and professional accomplishment. Education: JD degree from an accredited law school. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (business, law, international relations, etc.) is preferred. Certifications: Admission to the Illinois State Bar Association. Additional certifications related to franchise law or international business are a plus. Skills: In-depth knowledge of franchise and distribution law. Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents. Ability to manage and resolve complex legal issues. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High attention to detail and accuracy.
