As a Software Engineer with MTSI you utilize your experience with multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Matlab) and familiarity with Agile software development principles to support multiple Flights and will be on-site at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). You will collaborate with military personnel and other contractors when designing and executing software development projects. This position will me located in Dayton, OH. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: You will plan, oversee, and foster a portfolio of projects supporting Modeling and Simulation. Collaborate and work across internal and external teams to develop concepts that advance the entire project. Communicate highly technical problems and solutions at all levels, from engineers to C-level-equivalent leaders. Explore and understand AI/ML developments and emerging AI-related technologies to understand how the project should adapt and grow over time. Work with researchers and external partners to develop and pursue a vision to ensure AI/ML is mission-reliable, accurate, and robust. Motivate and enable a diverse research team to carry out foundational, often novel, research. Work as a trusted, strategic partner with the customer by delivering actionable insights about emerging AI/ML-related technologies as well as with technically minded external partners. Ability to turn qualitative insights into technical research efforts.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications: 3-7 years' of experience as a Software Engineer with experience with multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, Matlab/Simulink) and familiarity with Agile software development principles. Desired Qualifications : Professional or academic experience with the Design of Experiments (DOE) discipline. Strong in verbal and written communications. Creating and briefing Government personnel on the results from scenarios and/or experiments. Algorithm design and implementation within MATLAB, Python, Java, or C/C++. Experience with Python software development and creating virtual development environments: Anaconda. Executing
pip
commands. Common Gitlab commands (e.g., add, commit, push, branch, etc.). Installing and updating the following Python modules: matplotlib, numpy, black, pylint, pytest, and radon. Experience and/or familiarity with common Modeling and Simulation tools and frameworks: Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration & Modeling (AFSIM). Joint Anti-Air Combat Effectiveness Air Superiority (J-ACE). Joint Anti-Air Modeling (JAAM). Education Requirements: Bachelor of Science in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering). Clearance Requirements: Secret clearance. TS with SCI eligibility, ( Desired ).
