Job Duties: Manage and advise clients on land use and zoning regulations, including zoning approvals, variances, permits, and entitlements. Conduct due diligence and research regarding land use issues for real estate transactions. Draft and negotiate agreements related to land development, easements, and environmental matters. Represent clients in public hearings before community groups, planning and zoning boards, and local government authorities. Collaborate with developers, architects, engineers, and governmental officials to facilitate project approvals. Provide legal support and guidance on real estate development projects, including compliance with local zoning laws and regulations. Handle real estate litigation matters related to land use disputes, if necessary. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the State Bar of Georgia in good standing. 2+ years of relevant experience in land use and zoning, real estate transactional work, or Georgia-based real estate or land use litigation. Strong understanding of local land use regulations and zoning ordinances. Excellent academic credentials and superior writing skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Experience with public speaking and presenting complex legal issues to diverse audiences. Skills: Proficiency in legal research and analysis related to land use and zoning matters. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Negotiation and advocacy skills, particularly in public forums. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
