As the
Senior Manager - Purchasing , you will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process of materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the manufacturing and operation of orthopedic medical devices. This role is critical in ensuring the company maintains a steady supply chain, cost efficiency, and adherence to quality and regulatory standards. The Senior Manager - Purchasing will work closely with suppliers, production teams, and regulatory affairs to ensure timely delivery of high-quality components, maintaining compliance with medical device standards.

Monday- Friday Principal Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers. Negotiate contracts, ensure vendor performance, and maintain healthy partnerships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Inventory Management: Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels, avoiding shortages or overstock. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement budgets. Analyze purchasing trends, track expenses, and seek opportunities for cost reduction and value optimization. Quality Assurance: Work with suppliers to ensure all materials and components meet the company’s quality standards and comply with relevant medical device regulations (ISO 13485, FDA regulations, etc.). Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms that protect the company’s interests and meet operational requirements. Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to minimize supply disruptions. Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to ensure that purchased materials meet the technical specifications required for medical device manufacturing. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all procurement activities align with regulatory requirements for medical devices, including FDA and ISO standards. Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory reviews. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize procurement software and data analytics to track KPIs, monitor supplier performance, and provide reports on procurement activities to senior management. Purchasing Team Development: Recruit, hire, train, develop, and retain the purchasing department including buyers and supply chain analyst. Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, other relevant major, or equivalent experience APICS CPIM Certification Minimum of ten years experience in Purchasing, Planning and Inventory; Five years as a manager Deep understanding of ERP software - (P) Experience with Microsoft D365 Proven experience with contract negotiations and supplier management Knowledge of purchasing techniques, bills of materials and routings, inventory control techniques Knowledge of master scheduling practices and plant capacity planning Leadership and interpersonal skills i.e. ability to influence, relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, and customer orientation Excellent computer and software skills including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Performance skills (accuracy with detail, planning and organizing, efficiency, analytics, and problem-solving) Knowledge of medical device regulatory requirements (ISO 13485, FDA guidelines) Experience or knowledge of the orthopedic environment: supply/inventory risks & challenges Benefits:
