Role SummaryLeads projects or campaigns under the direction of a senior colleague or manager. Provides training and guidance to less experienced professionals, checking work accuracy. Develops creative design concepts and plans which engage clients and differentiate solutions in alignment with customer strategic objectives. Assignments cover multi-media and online materials for product design, marketing collateral, conferences, sales support, and advertising campaigns, among others. Partners with Editorial staff who contributes the written content and does final reviews. May have a focus area such as graphic arts, digital media, user interface design, web content, data visualization, video post-production, animation, user experience design, user research, etc.
Responsibilities
Provides oversight of production design workstream, ensuring quality standards of 3rd party vendors, triages and resolves issues for the production team
Collaborates with the accessibility team to ensure that accessibility standards are being met for new production work and remediation in the production backlog
Partners with User Experience Design to create holistic design solutions across touchpoints for marketing campaigns/collateral - including execution of UI designs based on UX inputs
Applies advanced knowledge to develop creative solutions to marketing challenges and identify effective strategies for designs across multiple design mediums. Reviews creative designs produced by less experienced professionals, providing task guidance and checking for accuracy.
Applies comprehensive industry experience and knowledge of market environment and competitor activities. Facilitates creative meeting project kickoffs and brainstorming sessions; develops and recommends an appropriate conceptual design in support of marketing campaigns. Presents ideas and seeks to persuade clients and colleagues to adopt recommended design concepts.
Fosters collaborative relationships with internal (design and editorial) and external resources (freelancers, production vendors, etc.) to realize and implement creative design concepts. Supports a diverse internal client base with varying expectation levels, providing responsive and relevant advice on their ongoing creative initiatives.
Applies style guidelines and promotes internal standards to less experienced staff to drive consistency, brand alignment, and design integrity. Scans for and identifies situations where there is an inconsistent visual experience and works with peers to align the various mediums (print, Web, and interactive) under guidance from more senior colleagues. May partner with technology colleagues to test user experience design for digital media.
May collaborate with design operations for production roadmap, and deployment of creative content, resource scheduling, and project timelines.
QualificationsRequired:
Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
5+ years of total relevant work experience
Strong portfolio showcasing previous design projects
Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AfterEffects, & Premiere
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office: Powerpoint, Word and the ability to build templates
Hands-on experience with Figma, Sketch or similar
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively and be detailed oriented
Preferred:
Experience with digital accessibility (web, PDF and/or Powerpoint)
Experience working with 3rd party vendors and managing a vendor relationship
Familiarity with tools such as MS project, Airtable, or project management software
FINRA Requirements
FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
Work Flexibility
This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to two days per week from home.
Base salary ranges:
$103,500.00 - $177,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$91,000.00 - $155,500.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$83,000.00 - $141,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
