As the Network Administrator, the individual will provide Tier II and III level client support and will be responsible for maintaining and operating networks in a government IT support environment. In this role, the mid-level Network Administrator will perform installation, maintenance and client-direct support of networking equipment in a secured work environment. In addition, the Network Administrator will be responsible for proactively planning and performing the essential duties necessary to mitigate the disruption of transport equipment and network connectivity issues. This is a full-time hybrid position, which will require an onsite physical presence. Responsibilities Assists in network design, implementation, and management Provide network support with a variety of operating systems and OEMs Installs and configures network equipment (i.e., routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) Maintains network connectivity of all workstations, servers, wireless devices, etc. Provides network connectivity support to users, including VPN support and remote access Provides oversight in the management of associated hardware, applications, services, and settings Assist in the development of policy and procedures for the utilization of network resources. Assist in the management of disaster recovery and environmental back-up plans Perform configuration changes as directed by DISA and any other authoritative source to remain compliant to the environment`s switches, routers, and firewalls Perform any tasks as required by OSC Edge and/or directed by the Contracting Officer Representative Required Qualifications/Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3-5 or more years' experience in a network or security administration role Must possess and maintain a minimum of a Secret Clearance or Higher Must have and maintain a valid COMPTIA Security certification Must have and maintain a valid CCNA Certification Must have fundamental knowledge of networking concepts Proven network operations, and network performance analysis skills Prior hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities Ability to work independently under minimal supervision Demonstrated knowledge of IT infrastructures, familiarity with network management and monitoring tools Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to assist non-technical individuals with complex technical issues Equal Employment Opportunity/M/F/disability/protected veteran status Full Benefits, PTO, 401k and more LI-DNI
