Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry

Job Specialty: Telemetry

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Night Shift, 7pm-7:30AM, Every Other Weekend Required

Guaranteed Hours: 34.50 hours per week

Experience: - Minimum 2 years of RN experience - 2 years of experience in telemetry and critical care - 1 year of travel experience preferred for travel positions

License: - Active New York State RN License

Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - Tele - Ventilator

Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Fluency in English (Speak, Read, Write)

Job Description:

- Deliver patient care based on nursing theory, research, and approved organizational standards - Assess and evaluate patient care needs utilizing critical thinking skills - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing and implementing care plans - Educate patients and caregivers on their care plans, health promotion, and disease prevention - Communicate effectively with patients, family, and healthcare team members - Model Relationship Centered Care principles during patient interactions - Prioritize patient care tasks including rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care - Contribute to quality and safety initiatives, identify improvement opportunities - Demonstrate caring, respect, empathy, and active listening during patient interactions - Document nursing practices accurately and thoroughly in compliance with standards - Coordinate with the clinical team to ensure sufficient inventory for patient care - Advance clinical competence through continued education and professional development - Participate in quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies - Support a safe and efficient patient-centered care environment
