Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Telemetry Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, Every Other Weekend Required Guaranteed Hours: 34.50 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, 2 years in telemetry & critical care experience, and 1 year of travel experience preferred License: New York State RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Ventilator Must-Have: EPIC experience highly preferred
Job Description: - Deliver patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. - Assess and evaluate patient care needs and apply critical thinking skills in patient care management. - Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care. - Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care. - Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning post-hospital care and delegating tasks as appropriate. - Educate patients and caregivers while anticipating needs and readiness to learn about their plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention. - Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and all members of the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team. - Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing and allocate material resources effectively. - Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement. - Perform charge nurse duties as assigned. - Coordinate with leadership to ensure appropriate utilization of supplies and adequate inventory levels for patient care. - Document in an accurate and thorough manner in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements and standards of care. - Contribute to an environment of care supporting clinical colleagues, patients, families, and healthcare team members. - Encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, lifelong learning, and innovation. - Advance clinical competence in nursing practice to progress from novice to expert. - Incorporate ethical principles into decision-making for patients and families. - Utilize institutional information technology by documenting nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement initiatives.
