Parks/Streets Maintenance Technician -$46,809-$63,191 ABOUT THIS POSITION - The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for a Parks/Streets Maintenance Technician.
This opportunity is one of eleven full-time positions within our public works department. This position is an important part of the Town’s public works team and is responsible for performing various tasks related to the parks maintenance and various tasks related to the maintenance and repair of Town facilities to ensure reliable operation. The successful candidate possesses a team-oriented working style, with excellent communication skills, the ability to maintain positive relationships, and responsiveness to the community. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE – High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience with street maintenance, facilities, lawn, and park irrigation preferred, but required. Valid Colorado driver’s license required and class B CDL with Tanker Endorsement or ability to obtain one within 6 months. The Town has some Town-owned apartments that may be available to a successful candidate. ABOUT BASALT, COLORADO - The Town, located in the Roaring Fork Valley between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, encompasses an area of approximately 2 square miles with over 4,000 residents.
