Workers' Compensation Attorney

Our client is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate Attorney who will join the Workers' Compensation Defense team. The ideal candidate will have a background in workers' compensation law, excellent legal research and writing skills, and the ability to manage a caseload independently. There will be an on-site portion in the beginning (in Los Angeles) for onboarding purposes. Thereafter, the Associate Attorney may work fully remotely. Responsibilities: Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases from inception through resolution. Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses. Attend and represent clients in depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations. Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and strategies related to workers' compensation claims. Develop and implement case strategies in collaboration with clients and senior attorneys. Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues. Stay current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the state bar and in good standing. 2-5 years of experience (for Associate level) or 5+ years of experience (for Senior Associate level) in workers' compensation defense or related field. Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations. Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Experience with case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
