Responsibilities Draft documents such as correspondence, pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, settlement agreements, forms and agreements to be used in proceedings Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently Communicate and meet with clients as necessary for cases Perform legal research Prepare for and attend hearings or other legal proceedings, and give general counsel Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence Qualifications

Successful completion of the bar exam Minimum 1 year immigration law experience Ability to work with other attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base Solid communication skills and problem-solving skills required in order to work with clients, staff members, and senior attorneys Has a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school Able to work independently while handling multiple files Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) Ability to use Microsoft Office is required Compensation $80,000 - $120,000 yearly About Sintia Solis Law Firm PLLC Sintia Solis Law Firm is a client-focused legal practice specializing in immigration, personal injury, criminal defense, and family law.
