Principal Product Manager - Tech, Kuiper Mobility
Amazon, Redmond, Washington, United States, 98052
Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
As Principal Technical Product Manager for Mobility on Project Kuiper you will lead a team to drive the product strategy, vision, and roadmap of mobility products for ground transportation, maritime, and aviation with a high degree of ownership over critical features and the customer experience. This role is inherently cross-functional - you will work closely with engineering, design, operations, sales, finance, and executive teams to envision, develop, and launch innovative products and services.
A successful candidate will be both creative and highly analytical, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and applications that customers love. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy – with a proven track record of creating successful enterprise mobility products and services. Project Kuiper’s success requires leaders who are owners, and who possess the entrepreneurial spirit needed to create new products. Our leaders solve complex, cutting-edge problems and get things done. As a Principal Product Manager, you will assume end-to-end product ownership over technical products to deliver mobility services to our customers.
Key job responsibilities

•Be a passionate advocate for the customer; provide the voice of the customer
•Inspire the team with the product vision, and work cross-functionally to bring the product to life
•Write detailed market segment and product requirements documents and define use cases, features, and KPIs and drive tradeoff discussions and decisions with the development teams
•Create the business case. Determine the product and service cost and release strategy
•Serve as the product expert assisting marketing with press briefing, industry talks, and white papers and participating with business development in product and service discussions with customers
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
