In this role, you will:

Lead complex initiatives on selected domains

Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk

Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost

Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies

Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature

Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

Mentor less experienced software engineers

Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers

Lead team to achieve objectives

Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

5+ years of experience of with working with Large (TBs) databases, preferably Oracle Exadata Grid

5+ years of experience with Database Engineering and thorough understanding of data masking techniques to retain referential integrity

5+ years of experience of scripting language (Python/Perl preferred)

5+ years of Unix/Linux experience

Desired Qualifications:

5+ years of Sybase SQL or MS SQL Server experience

5+ years of database (DB) technologies experience

5+ years of experience in supporting software development life cycle for large-scale distributed technology projects and migrations

Experience in leading the complex or critical data/ database management initiatives and projects

Experience with large data sets, transactional platforms, or a combination of both

Experience managing one or more industry-standard development tools or scripting languages

Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Experience with automation a plus.

Experience with supporting and building REST interfaces and data exchange mythologies is preferred
