R&D Software/Firmware Engineer

As such, the successful candidate will be involved in a next generation product development incorporating latest technologies to provide value to the customer. Responsibilities include: Design and development of products, components, processes, and systems using a range of engineering concepts and research techniques. Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around developer and engineering productivity and velocity. Analyze and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability. Use product and customer application knowledge to determine, define, develop, and validate design concepts and methods. Facilitate transition of product design and enhancements to full production/delivery using Agile/SCRUM development methodologies. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or equivalent 4 years relevant experience working in software development Experience in developing in programming language and frame works like C# .NET Core / .NET Framework / WPF/ WCF / ASP Ability to understand and incorporate complex software development processes Independent, positive, and proactive approach to problem solving within a team What will make you stand out: Knowledge of high-performance and resilient microservices and use of relevant design patterns Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments is a plus Knowledge of REST APIs and basic networking concepts Design new features and create functional specifications by working with product management and engineering team members Familiarity with database technologies Having used a Quality lifecycle processes: Unit tests, User Acceptance Tests as well as continuous integration infrastructure Experience with building scalable solutions that integrate well in a complex distributed eco-system. This requires handling trade-offs between performance, and compute efficiency Adaptable to changing priorities, accepting challenges outside one's comfort zone, learning new technologies, and delivering viable solutions within defined time boundaries Excellent communication skills and ability to think through solutions from a short term and long-term lens in an iterative development cycle A track record of working collaboratively within a cross-functional team. The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $136,896.00 - $213,900.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
