Senior Java Full Stack Developer The Role: Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Java Full Stack developer who will be responsible for designing and architecting high-performance Java-based enterprise systems. They work closely with business stakeholders software developers and IT teams to create scalable secure and efficient solutions. This role involves defining architecture guidelines ensuring adherence to best practices and making technology decisions to align with long-term business objectives. Location: Charlotte, NC You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Candidate is required to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using Core Java and J2EE. Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services to improve application functionality. Utilize Hibernate for efficient database management and data retrieval. Ensure the integration of REST APIs for seamless communication between different software components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues. Adhere to best practices in coding and design to enhance software performance. Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality and encourage knowledge sharing. Ensure software compliance with security protocols and data protection standards. Optimize existing software applications for improved performance and scalability. candidate will have a strong background in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, and web services, with a preference for those with experience in the Cards & Payments domain. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software that meets our client's needs. Perform Java development activities and build REST API's that are used by several teams. Perform POC's to prove the concepts work. Recommend solutions to improve new and existing design. Participate in Code review meetings. Monitor Code quality and consistently strive for improvement. Required Skills: Java 11 or Java 17, Spring MVC, Spring Boot. Java Reactive Functional programming Proven experience in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, Rest API, REST Web Services, SOAP, and XML are mandatory, Spring Framework, Spring boot services. RESTAPI creation Experience working with MySQL and SQL. Proficiency in working with JavaScript, Nodejs and AngularJS. Candidate should have hands on experience working with AWS. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 1/15/2025. The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 - $114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
