Job Description: Practice: The original Judd Veterinary Clinic opened in November of 1980 and since then has doubled in size and moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility! We see both small animal and equine clientele and have the only board-certified veterinarian within 50 miles of Waco in any category.Position Purpose: We are looking for another veterinarian to join our three DVM team and support this new growth! Our doctors utilize multiple Licensed Veterinary Technicians and veterinary assistants to care for our patients and serve our clients. With our new facility comes progressive, up-to-date equipment that includesDigital radiographyDigital dental radiologyUltrasoundComplete in-house labSeparate surgical, dental, and ultrasound suites Our clients trust us to recommend the best workup and treatment options for their companion animal and equine family members. We have a devoted and appreciative clientele that are highly invested in their pet's health - most of our clients have been coming to us for generations! Dr. Judd (DVM, DABVP [Eq][Can/Fel]) and his team are enthusiastic to welcome and collaborate with another DVM! All experience levels are welcome. For new graduates, our tenured team would provide hands-on mentorship through a thorough, unique, and mapped out mentorship program. Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients' medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
