Tooling Technician

Job Title: Tooling TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are looking to add a skilled Tooling Repair Technician to our team in the injection mold department. This role involves working with molds for automotive injection molding. The successful candidate will be responsible for preventative maintenance on injection molds and production tool repair on molds with tonnages ranging from 900lbs to 2500 tons. The position involves working on 34 machines that produce interior components for the automotive industry.Shifts are as follows: 1st: 6:30am-3:00pm 2nd: 2:30pm-11:00pm 3rd: 10:30pm-7:00am one opening on each shift weekends are as needed, typically not full days pay range: $30-$40/hr $30 an hour would be a candidate meeting the minimum requirements of the must haves, some experience in injection mold tooling may need some training $40 an hour would be a candidate with 10+ years in the field. Journeyman card not required but needs that level of expertise ResponsibilitiesPerform preventative maintenance on injection molds.Conduct production tool repair on molds with tonnages ranging from 900lbs to 2500 tons.Work on 34 different machines producing interior components for the automotive industry.Perform hydraulic maintenance and repair, specifically in hydraulic ejection, hydraulic lines, and core signals in hydraulic cylinders.Troubleshoot and repair valve gates within molds.Conduct standard electrical troubleshooting and repair up to 120v and 240v.Test OHM's and operate Volt meters to test connections to the mold.Essential Skills3+ years of production tool repair in Injection Mold.Experience with hydraulic maintenance and repair.Experience with injection molding machinery including the person, KM, or Toshiba.2+ years of experience working with Hot Runners.Ability to troubleshoot and repair valve gates within molds.1+ year of experience with standard electrical troubleshooting and repair up to 120v and 240v.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to test OHM's and operate Volt meters.Experience in diagnostics testing and troubleshooting.Skills in grinding, tool and die maintenance, and mold maintenance.Why Work Here?Join us as we embark on a new Volvo project that is bringing in a lot of work and creating the need for additional headcount.
