Basic Function

We are seeking a strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented professional to join our lubricants & specialties team as the Director, Commercial Excellence. Reporting to the VP, Sales Americas, this position oversees and holds global accountability for commercial excellence initiatives, performance, demand forecasting, and continuous improvement. In this key leadership role, you will drive transformative initiatives that enhance our commercial strategy and optimize our sales and marketing effectiveness. This role will lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes, improve commercial performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role will focus on maximizing revenue growth, strengthening customer engagement, and driving organizational efficiency. Job Duties
Demand Planning Oversees and leads the development of accurate demand forecasts using sales inputs, historical data, market trends, and statistical methods. Oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of demand planning models and tools supporting digitization. Collaborates closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to gather insights and information for forecasting. Develops and provides demand planning insights and supports sales strategies during sales meetings. Steers regular Sales and Operations (S&OP) meetings enhancing our integrated business planning (IBP) process and improvements. Oversees and standardizes performance metrics and targets across the business in partnership with the IBP leader. Monitors inventory levels and works with sales, marketing, and supply chain to optimize stock levels, minimizing shortages and excess inventory. Communicates with sales and marketing departments to monitor market conditions and adjust forecasts as needed. Researches and implements best practices and leverages demand planning software to drive efficiency. Commercial Excellence Collaborates with the Lubricants senior leadership to provide recommendations and align commercial strategies with business goals. Drives the adoption of commercial excellence initiatives within the sales team including Strategic Pricing, sales and supply chain policies, customer impact statements, rolling forecasts, and other identified areas. Manages the works with Strategic pricing teams and finance to improve segmentation of customers and markets served. Develops and implements best practices to enhance the commercial acumen of our team, fostering talent growth, revenue, and market share. Oversees and implements consistent sales tools across the organization, ensuring the commercial team is effectively positioned to capture opportunities and build a robust pipeline. Fosters a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation and implements best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Participates and sits on the Sales Americas Leadership team. Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion. Experience
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial management and demand planning is required. International experience preferred. Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or related field; MBA an asset. Required Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and driving business results.
