Senior Global Demand Planner

to join the

Data Center Power & Control Team

in

Reno, NV. This position is responsible for leading and managing Demand Planning functions across Power, Access, and Control (PAC) in the Data, Power and Control Sector (DPC). The incumbent is a strong individual who can lead both in a matrix organization. The key needs of this position are to develop an S&OP strategy that supports the needs of the business along with overall inventory strategies to support business growth, increase working capital and reduce E&O. Additionally, this leader will drive Legrand’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goals and targets to ensure such priorities are integrated as part of the supply chain processes. The candidate will use our ERP system (SAP) and CRM (Salesforce.com), maintain effective levels of finish goods inventory to meet our customer orders and business needs; monitor production commitments, maintain commitment dates in our ERP and CRM systems and provide a watchdog function to ensure customer commitments are met; develop tools/aids to provide day-to-day visibility on commitment status; employ ERP and SFDC to maintain effective flow of FG product to meet our customer orders as well as our business needs. The position will report to the DPC Sr. Director, Demand Planning. Main Job Duties: S&OP:

Responsible for driving a robust global S&OP process across the PAC business. Lead standardization of and incorporate inventory positions into the overall S&OP process to help facilitate supply decisions.

Demand Forecasting:

Develop, refine, and maintain accurate demand forecasts for our products, incorporating historical data, market trends, and input from sales teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather relevant information and insights to improve forecast accuracy.

Inventory Management:

Optimize inventory levels globally to ensure product availability while minimizing carrying costs. Monitor and manage inventory turnover rates, identifying slow-moving or obsolete items and proposing solutions.

Supply Planning:

Work closely with the Material Purchasing and Planning teams to align supply plans with demand forecasts. Ensure that production schedules and procurement activities meet demand requirements.

Data Analysis:

Utilize advanced analytical tools and techniques to assess historical data, identify patterns, and generate forecasts. Regularly analyze sales data, market trends, and other relevant information to adjust forecasts as necessary.

Collaboration and Communication:

Foster strong relationships and open communication channels with sales, production control, and material planning and procurement teams. Support functional leads and manufacturing leads in planning the optimization of the supply chain footprint to address cost and service targets. Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align on demand and supply plans. Driving adherence to service metrics; On-Time Performance, Lead Time, Voice of the Customer.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University with emphasis in Supply Chain Management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience:

Minimum 4 years of related experience in the supply chain function, preferably in planning/ scheduling in a manufacturing environment. APICS Basic Certification or in the progress of obtaining APICS Basic Certification preferred. Proven experience as a demand planner or in a similar role with supply chain management. Demonstrated change practitioner with strategic and operational skills to lead transformational change. Experience in running end-to-end S&OP process. Inventory management knowledge is essential. Understanding of demand planning within ERP systems. Experience in navigating cross-business complex organizational needs and requirements. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Experience in Supply Chain Management, including Supply chain/material planning experience in an ERP/CRM environment. Proven ability to drive successful inventory/working capital strategies, lead time responsiveness, and customer service levels. Knowledge of end-to-end Supply Chain. Strong systems/process orientation with proven analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Organizational capability to sustain results through systems. Experience with working in a high volume, fast-paced, SLA environment; and must be proficient with Microsoft Excel. Able to lead strategically, but able to get into the details of process and data to build sound business cases and to drive root cause and corrective actions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including senior executives and hourly personnel. Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based, matrix management environment. Possess strong analytical skills and be able to apply principles of logical and methodical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Strong project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines, and control several projects at various stages of work. Ability to travel globally. Must be proficient in negotiation and influencing skills. Results-driven, strong work ethic with integrity and commitment. Self-driven and able to work with minimal supervision. The work environment is fast-paced, and priorities can shift quickly.
