Immediate long term contract opportunity for an AWS Architect / Engineer.

Trigyn is seeking an experienced AWS Architect / Engineer Hands-On to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure for Medicaid systems, including Integrated Eligibility and Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS). This position focuses on leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient cloud solutions for Medicaid modernization projects.
This is a long term fully remote role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Cloud Architecture and Deployment
• Design and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure for Medicaid systems.
• Build scalable, high-availability solutions aligned with Medicaid Enterprise Architecture and CMS MITA guidelines.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
• Automation and Integration
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless development and deployment.
• Automate processes using serverless technologies like AWS Lambda and Step Functions.
• Integrate AWS services with Medicaid systems to ensure interoperability and process efficiency.
• Security and Compliance
• Ensure AWS solutions comply with federal and state healthcare standards, including HIPAA and MARS-E.
• Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and data encryption.
• Perform security audits and resolve vulnerabilities in cloud environments.
• System Monitoring and Optimization
• Use AWS tools (CloudWatch, Trusted Advisor, etc.) to monitor system performance and uptime.
• Optimize resource utilization to reduce costs while maintaining service levels.
• Diagnose and resolve cloud-related issues to ensure reliability.
• Collaboration and Reporting
• Collaborate with state IT offices, vendors, and internal teams to align cloud strategies with Medicaid goals.
• Prepare documentation such as architecture diagrams, operational playbooks, and compliance reports.
• Participate in regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss system performance and updates.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.
Experience:
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services in enterprise environments.
• Healthcare IT experience, particularly with Medicaid systems, is a strong plus.
Certifications:
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer is preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, etc.).
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, subnets, routing, firewalls).
• Familiarity with data analytics tools like AWS Glue, Redshift, or Athena is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of CMS MITA and Medicaid-related regulations.
• Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS).
• Familiarity with healthcare data exchange standards (HL7, FHIR, NCPDP).
