Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate
Chicago, IL (hybrid WFH, 3 days onsite in the loop, 2 days WFH)
Summary: As a Senior Financial Analyst, you'll be joining a team of financial professionals responsible forreal estate investmentopportunity analysis, underwriting, monthly/quarterly investment performance reporting, asset management performance analysis, budgeting, reforecasting,etc.
You'll be responsible for preparing, analyzing and presenting reports around this type of real estate analysis.

What you'll be doing
Aggregating and analyzing monthly real estate performance analysis throughreporting: Includes extracting and aggregating portfolio data; preparing summary spreadsheets, graphs and tables; evaluating performance metrics; highlighting notable issues and trends; and developing meaningful and insightful commentary Preparation and review quarterly Board materials: work with team on high profile deliverable presented to Blackstone senior real estate leadership team at the quarterly board meeting Underwritereal estate opportunities in collaboration with themanagers Participate in the annual budget and reforecast processes:develop unit renovation and common areabudgets; utilize budgeting templates and tools to develop initial budget; work interactively with various real estateteams to finalize the budget; prepare summary reports and communicate to executive leadership team Assist the real estateteams in developing short, medium, and long-term strategies for each property Administer training to operating partners on use of renovation systems and processes Create and maintain financial and operational dashboards to better assist the asset management, pricing, and marketing teams Vigilantly and proactively participate in continual process improvement initiatives Develop processes that save time while maintaining the highest quality standards, design data rich and aesthetically pleasing, leverage internal and external resources to efficiently achieve goals Prepare ad-hoc analyses for upper level management Skills we're seeking
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a finance, accounting or real estate focused field 1+ year of experience with Financial Analysis experience Experience preparing financial reports, and providing recommendations based on your analysis Experience interacting with and presenting findings to executive stakeholders Must have strong Excel skills Must have at least descent PowerPoint skills to assemble presentations of your financial analysis Nice to have experience
Experience with Power BI (what we mainly use) or other reporting/dashboard development tools such as Tableau SQL experience Real estate experience
