Responsibilities: The Imagery Analyst role requires applying geospatial knowledge on how to acquire, analyze, compile, and disseminate raster-based information and intelligence to populate geospatial databases and create Geospatial Intelligence products. Imagery analysts typically work with both panchromatic and multi-spectral (MSI) Electro-Optical (EO) image sensors but may also work with a variety of other sensors such as Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), Infra-Red (IR), Hyper-Spectral (HSI), or Light Detection And Ranging (LiDAR). The Imagery Analyst should be familiar with imagery concepts such as spatial and temporal resolution, data processing levels, projections and datums, and geodetic coordinate systems. In addition to understanding the imagery itself, the analyst may need to analyze, compile, and disseminate location-based information and intelligence by capturing data to populate geospatial databases and/or create labels for Geospatial Intelligence products. The geospatial analyst is a flexible role that relies on understanding of basic geospatial concepts of projection, elevation, attribution, and works in conjunction with source materials to update and/or create new geospatial feature data sets, maps and charts, submitting work through the QA/QC process along a wide variety of mission areas and geographic settings, while meeting deadlines in a high-tempo environment. Qualifications: Requirements: Bachelor's degree in geography, Remote Sensing, or related field or US Military Imagery Analysis discipline; additional experience can be used as a substitute for education. Formal military analysis training completion or equivalent civilian Remote Sensing certification(s). A minimum of two years of experience exploiting NTM imagery for analysis and/or product creation. Knowledge of commercial GIS software solutions such as ESRI products (ArcMap, ArcPro), SOCET GXP, QGIS, RemoteView, or another image viewing package. Familiarity with NTM Imagery tasking and collections requirements mechanisms and tools. Solid understanding of imagery spatial, temporal, and radiometric resolution. Experience georeferencing imagery and solid understanding of how projections affect feature locational and spatial accuracy. Knowledge of soft copy exploitation functionalities. Ability to work independently, with little supervision in high-tempo environment. Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently, both orally and in writing. Requirements (Desired): Experience with imagery georeferencing concepts/software packages. Knowledge of NGA Products and Services. Familiarity with foreign partner data, maps, specifications, and products. Knowledge of commercial Imagery analysis software solutions such as ENVI, ERDAS, or other image analysis package. Formal training or direct experience analyzing non-EO imagery types to include SAR, HSI, LiDAR, IR, or others. Experience creating, presenting, or distributing imagery intelligence products. Experience using geospatial feature layers (shapefiles), geodatabases (GDB, FDB), and safe data handling and storage procedures. Experience with international data programs such as Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program (MGCP), International Geospatial Warehouse (IGW), or regulations such as International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Experience with Python scripting. Current GEOINT Professional Certification-Foundations (GPC-F). Security Clearance Requirements: Existing TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a Counter-Intelligence (CI) Polygraph. Competencies & Skills: Clear and effective written and oral communication with team members and customer(s). Comfortable working with a team to achieve project completion. Keen attention to detail. Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
